'Necessity is the mother of invention' - the beginnings of Hereier Ltd.
Like all good inventions, the best are often incredibly simple and outstandingly obvious.
The founder of Hereier is a professional pilot and engineer with over 35 years’ experience in the aviation industry.
Being of a short stature, removing and replacing the covers on the Pitot Tubes could sometimes present difficulties, which is why he set about devising methods to help him accomplish this important and specific task.
The initial prototypes were fashioned out of various objects and despite the looks, did the job perfectly. Before long "the stick" as it became known was drawing substantial interest from those who saw it in use, with comments such as "I need one of those" or "where can I get one?" becoming common occurrence.
Further work on modelling and enhancing the design and legally securing the patent, the Pitot Stick was manufactured and developed, and Hererier Ltd. was formed.
We are now marketing and selling the Pitot Stick worldwide from our base in the UK.
